Playlist: Rise Up!

I was feeling rebellious this morning, so I queued up my iPod playlist with power-to-the-people songs, I-want-some-change songs, I'm-mad-as-hell-and-I'm-not-gonna-take-it-anymore songs.

Harvest for the World Isley Brothers

Dear Mr. President Pink w/The Indigo Girls

Rain on the Scarecrow John Mellencamp

A Change is Gonna Come Sam Cooke

Bullet the Blue Sky U2

Peace Train 10,000 Maniacs

Exodus Bob Marley and the Wailers

Not Ready to Make Nice Dixie Chicks

In "Dear Mr. President," Pink says all the things I wish I could say to George Bush, but with better pitch and more soul.

How can you say
No child is left behind
We're not dumb and we're not blind
They're all sitting in your cells
While you pay the road to hell...

Take a listen.

Tami, Tami you are a music lover after my own heart. I should have known that after your wonderful Christmas playlist. If I may here are some suggestions for your list:

Machine Gun: Jimi Hendrix
The Payback: James Brown
My Way: Frank Sinatra
We the People Who Are Darker Than Blue: Curtis Mayfield

Well these are just off the top of my head. I hope you can use them. We have to talk again about music lists. Take care.

Hi Tami,

Thanks for sharing. I think I'll check out "Dear Mr. President".. I don't know if I heard it before. That's what I'm feeling right about now.

Girl I love my iPods! They save me from turning into a zombie at work. For years I’ve always loaded my iPods manually through iTunes. Then just the other day I decided to "sync" some comedy podcast, Dr. Joy Brown and WAOD’s podcast in the "correct podcast" places in my video ipod. Well! I was not paying attention so it ended up doing a complete "sync" (deleted) all my previous 23 gigs worth of music playlist, audiobooks and movies. “sync” can mean “sync” if you forgot to be selective!.. LOL. I'm just warning others here.

Anyway, enjoy your weekend!

Mr. Shadow,

Thanks for the additions! I love music and will try to incorporates more of my favorites into my blog. I admire the way Mes Deaux Cents does it.

Le Msviswan,

I know, right? I am an iPod junkie. I always do the autosync. I am scared to manually sync.
