Last night, I saw Ray LaMontagne and Brandi Carlile in concert. It was spectacular! The music was amazing, of course. Carlile's version of Folsom Prison Blues was a highlight:
After days of swamp-like heat in Central Indiana, the temperature was down to a moderate high 70s with a gentle breeze along the White River. The sky was clear and full with a great big, yellow moon.
But the moon wasn't the only thing lighting up the night. There was also the tell-tale glow of various smart phones. All around me folks were posting concert updates to Twitter and Facebook, between snapping pics and short videos that will no doubt find their way online somewhere. And, let me be clear, I'm not judging, 'cause I posted a few updates myself and sent a quick snap to a friend who couldn't make it to the concert.
